A “new” Beach Club at Playa de Palma – Beach Club Six

The famous Ballermann 6 in Mallorca, once the epitome of celebrating, drunken German tourists with sangria buckets and countless straws, has been opened after extensive renovation last Saturday and is now called Beach Club Six. The popular party kiosk is no longer recognizable and now shines in petrol green with white-yellow lettering “Beach Club Six”. Also the tables were adjusted in green and white. Despite the bright sunshine on the glittering blue Mediterranean, only a few tables are occupied at the opening and there was no party going on. And this is not just the fact that there is still low season in Mallorca. Prior to this, the “Mar de Mallorca” developer had tried to avoid a big party to the newly opened beach club. And this has a reason: the Ballermann should become more chic, quieter and more solid.

According to the barkeeper, who is working there for 20 years, the reactions were consistently positive. With the new look of the famous Playa, the authorities want to give a high-quality look and, above all, to counteract the buffoons from the past. An upswing and many, positive changes have been seen for a long time at the Playa to Palma. Numerous hotels have been renovated and, for example, increased from 3* to 4*. Also new 5* hotels were opened. The well-known Mallorcan entrepreneur Juan Miguel Ferrer calls his own several stylish restaurants and bars, which have opened their doors in recent years. These include e.g. The Ginger Beach or the El Chiringuito Beach House. He has also founded the “Palma Beach” initiative, which stands for more quality at the popular beach.
