Colourful hustle and bustle on Mallorca – Weekly market in Santanyi

If you’ve never been there before, you’ve missed something! Santanyi is one of those beautiful places of Mallorca with the typical sandstone facades of Marés. If you don’t have anything planned for Saturday or Wednesday, you should definitely plan a visit to the weekly market in Santanyi. The hustle and bustle on the market place start relatively early and if you want to secure a parking place close to the market, it’s best to arrive before 9 o’clock.

During a nice breakfast in one of the lovely cafés around the Placa, you can let the atmosphere of the colourful hustle and bustle at the weekly market in Santanyi have an effect on you. And with a freshly squeezed orange juice, café con leche, croissant or typical Mallorcan Bocadillo you can go through the shopping list and the market stalls which you have in mind. The fruit and vegetable stalls are competing with the Sant Andreu Market Church. A variety of colours that is not offered every day. Yellow lemons, oranges, colourfull vegetables, cheese & ham, homemade bread, pickled olives and in the background sandstone-coloured village houses. Regular market visitors can be recognized immediately by the rat-weaved shopping bag. If you don’t have one yet, you can buy it directly on the market. Because not only fresh and regional food but also many furnishing and decoration articles, as well as hip fashion and fashion accessories hide here in the affectionate backyards and shops. Unique items and favorite pieces change the owners. Earrings, jewellery and Ibiza fashion are particularly popular.
