Llaüt Mallorca – Boat trip in the mallorquin way

Posted by Sandra on 12.08.2015

LLAÜT MALLORCA invites you to enjoy the sea on board of a very special boat, the llaüt. You get an extraordinary and relaxing experience, full of tradition…
Even the meeting place is pure idyll: Who reserves a Mallorcan boat trip at “Llaüt Mallorca”, the traditional small wooden boat, climbs the boat at the characteristic boathouse in Es Ruietó, the former fishing district of Porto Colom. The local Joan Roig, originally from Sant Joan, offers to tourists and locals the opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful parts of Mallorca during a two and a half hour trip. Up to six people can fit on the llaüt, including captain Oscar Puente. Once after leaving the port, the boat is going to the direction of today’s port of the village. From there it goes to the Playa s’Arenal and the Lighthouse of Portocolom - according to Roig “one of the most beautiful ones in Mallorca.”

An unique and different boat trip.
The boat „Audac“ is a typical llaüt, built in Portocolom on an old shipyard by so called “Mestres d’aixa”, the old shipbuilders of Majorca. The Audaç was built in 1968, and is completely made of wood. Enjoy the tasting menu prepared with a selection of Majorca’s best delicacies. This menu is included on all trips. There is also a pick up service with an own bus in the surroundings of Portocolom.
Three times a day starts the excursion with the boat from the port, the departure times are each at 9.30 hrs, 13 or 17.30 hrs. The tours in the late afternoon lure with the special light of the approaching sunset before the llaüt again chugging back to the harbor - and their passengers full of new impressions of the beautiful Mallorcan east coast.
