The friendly service, the hip atmosphere, the good food and the sea view give you a bit of Ibiza feeling on Majorca. Locals appreciate Son Serra de Marina as the quietest spot of the whole bay of Alcudia. The village which is arranged like a chessboard has exclusively one- or two-storey houses. Without any hotel and with just a few restaurants the residential quarter may seem deserted from September on. Even if you come on a sunny Sunday in high summer, you just need to walk far enough to enjoy a nice and quiet spot. The bay of Alcudia is particularly well known for its endlessly long appearing sandy beach Playa de Muro. Kite and wind surfer however prefer Son Serra de Marina where there are very often ideal conditions. An unspoilt beach, an undeveloped coast and the hills of the natural reserve Llevant in the background offer a perfect atmosphere for nature lovers. At El Sol Sunshine Bar food is served starting from 10.00 o’clock over all day long. It is open nearly all year round; it has free WiFi and live music on the weekends in the evening, and sometimes with DJ sessions on Sunday. Simple and relaxing atmosphere to a good price /service ratio: in our opinion the ultimate beach bar in the North of the island. Those who wish to stay some days overnight can book an El Sol-studio or apartment at absolutely affordable prices. Completely recommendable are the family-friendly penthouse apartments with huge, extended terrace and an amazing view onto the whole bay.
