XV Rally Clásico Puerto Portals 7th – 9th March 2019
Puerto Portals hosts the classic Rally of Mallorca, nicknamed “The Pearl of Rallys”, an event that has established itself as one of the most prestigious historic car tests in the world, both in terms of the number of participants and their qualities, as well as some of the best routes in the world, such as the famous Sa Calobra climb through a winding 12-kilometre slope and a 360-degree bend. The Clasico Isla Mallorca Rally is an event that has been taking place for 14 years on the 2nd weekend of March on this privileged island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. 150 professionals are responsible for organising the event, including all logistics, time recording and, above all, security. This rally is able to combine competitiveness and fun and is a reference for other rallies in many ways. Rally pilots from all over Europe take part every year, with more than 90% of pilots returning year after year. This high repetition rate of the rally drivers is due to the high quality and fun the drivers experience every time.
Today, it has positioned itself among the 5 best events of the year in Mallorca, including events such as the King’s Cup Sailing or the Mallorca Open - WTA Tennis Tournament. This shows that it is not only a motor competition, but also a big sporting and social event where locals and participants from different nationalities of the world meet.
