Access to the Marivent Gardens of the Royal Palace is now possible

Posted by Sandra on 8.05.2017

Since May the 2nd, the Marivent Gardens in Palma, in the district of Cala Major, have been open to the public for the first time. The Balearic Government has invested around € 200,000 in the last few weeks and months for repairs. In this context, a fence was also installed to protect the privacy of the Spanish royal family. The beautiful garden is located on the site of the summer residence of the Royals. Once King Felipe and his family are on Mallorca, the gardens are closed.
Over an area of more than 9,000 square meters, visitors can admire twelve sculptures by the Catalan artist Joan Miró. The Marivent Gardens are open every day. For those arriving by public transport, use lines 3, 20 and 46 of the EMT services and get off at the Marivent stop in Cala Major.

Opening hours:
1 May to 30 September: 9am to 8pm
1 October to 30 April: 9am to 4:30 pm

Closed: Semana Santa (March 25 to April 1, 2018)
15 July to 15 September
