Palmas Paseo Maritimo becomes more beautiful

Posted by Sandra on 1.02.2018

The planned renovation of the Paseo Marítimo in Palma will cost about 8 million euros. This was announced on Monday by the Mayor of Palma, Antoni Noguera. The concept is to build the previously six lanes back to just one in each direction and set up a boulevard and green areas. In this way, city and port should be upgraded and a connection established between the two, explained Noguera. The reform will extend between Calle Monsenyor Palmer at the corner of the “Hardrock Café” to the auditorium.
The responsible consistory is in the planning for the construction work and is in close talks with the port authority on financing issues. However, this poses no problem, said the President of the Port Authority, Joan Gual. They have all the necessary resources, so they will agree to the project. Both for the locals and for the tourists who visit Mallorca every year, this will represent a significant improvement of the popular Paseo Maritimo in Palma.
