Autumn Fair in Caimari – “Fira S’Oliva” from 21-22.11.15

Caimari, a small village on the largest Balearic island of Majorca, attracts every autumn with a special sensation, highly appreciated by locals and visitors. The Olive Fair makes the mountain village a center of attraction for a whole weekend for all those who love the green and black oval “fruits“. Liquid Gold”, the oil is called, which is produced in a long and traditional methods for centuries in Mallorca. On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 of November in Caimari it’s all about the olives, harvesting and processing. There is huge range of possibilities to taste all kind of olives and oil products. There is also an entertaining program for the whole family. Visitors to the “Fira de S’Oliva” should, however, be prepared for large crowds: A few hundred meters before the sign you have to park the car in peak hours because there is limited parking in the village. Responsible for the crowd is the varied program and the attractive stands that are open each day from 10 clock. In these 2 days there is not only the possibility to try olives and oil products, as well as almonds and fruits from the carob tree.
